Applicants must be able to perform the following to be eligible for this course:
Please call and we will run through some questions with you on the phone to ensure the chosen training is suitable. Alternatively, you can complete the course booking form attached and email it to info@brisbanrdrivingschool.com.au
Once your booking form is processed, we will schedule a 1-hour initial assessment lesson. This session, which is included in the course fee, is designed to evaluate your current competency for your existing licence. It also allows our Assessor to create a personalized training plan for you, address any concerns you may have, and discuss any gearbox restrictions that need to be lifted. This assessment will take place approximately a week to 10 days before your course begins.
Upon your course enrolment confirmation, we will dispatch your pre-course learning material, including the student handbook and code of practice if requested. You can expect to receive these materials shortly after your enrolment is confirmed.
The cost of your course does not include any extra training that may be needed to lift a gearbox restriction from your licence. Suppose you only hold an HR or HC synchromesh licence (i.e. B restriction), meaning you have never been assessed in a crash box at the HR or HC level. If you do the MC in a synchromesh gearbox, you will get an MC licence with a B restriction. If you want an open MC, you must be assessed (and trained if necessary) in a crash box. Brisbane Driving School can provide this training, but it is expensive. This training will be charged hourly for HR or HC non-synchromesh training as required, in consultation with yourself as you progress through your course.
