What truck do you want to drive?
Light Rigid Truck Licence
Light Rigid LR vehicle truck licence will allow you to drive vehicles (bus or truck) with 2 axles (one on the front and 1 on the rear) and a 4.5t GVM but not more than 8t gross vehicle mass (GVM)
Medium Rigid Truck Licence
Medium Rigid MR vehicle truck licence will allow you to drive vehicles (bus or truck) with 2 axles (one on the front and 1 on the rear) and a gross vehicle mass (GVM) greater than 8,000 kg.
Heavy Rigid Truck Licence
HR vehicles can have 3 or more axles. This course is designed for drivers who wish to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
Heavy Combination Truck Licence
For test purposes a HC vehicle is a prime mover more than 15 tonne GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) with at least 3 axles and a semitrailer with at least 2 axles.
Multi Combination Truck Licence
- You must hold a current Qld HR or HC licence
- Whilst you can undertake MC Training at any time after obtaining a HR or HC Licence, The Department of Transport and Main Roads will not issue you with an MC Licence until you have held your HR or HC for a continuous period of 12 months
