Pre-employment Assessments
Pre-employment screening of personnel is critical to ensuring you appoint the right person for the job.
Before you make a decision to employ a full time employee driver/operator Brisbane Driving School offers evaluations for employers and those seeking employment within the transport/construction industry.
We have designed a comprehensive driving and/or operating evaluation program that incorporates both theory knowledge required for jobs as well as demonstration of practical ability. The process is designed to evaluate skills, habits, and other vehicle interaction behaviour and to give an indication of a person’s capability to drive / operate heavy vehicles.

Refresher Training/Evaluations
Brisbane Driving School provides refresher training for existing employees to offer employers feedback on their driver’s skills and road behaviours.

Advance Techniques in Heavy Truck on Road Operations
Learn how to save $$$ in fuel consumption & maintenance costs.
The aim of this course is to show drivers how they can reduced fuel consumption and maintenance costs & save money for themselves or their companies.
Classroom Based Discussion and practical exercises involving the following:
- Safety issues regarding driving heavy trucks on the road- including fatigue management
- How to get the best out of the truck’s performance by using the gearbox efficiently
- Learning how to skip gears when practical- flow on affect is less fatigue
- Better fuel economy and less wear on the equipment
Advanced Truck Driver Training
Drivers who have just completed their heavy vehicle truck licences do not always have the confidence to drive the vehicle in a real work situation. Other drivers may feel their driving skills need improving.
The advanced driving course provides drivers with the skills required to load and unload plant or commercial goods, improve their driving skills using a non-synchro gear box, and general driving confidence.
Defensive Skills – 4 hours
Brisbane Driving School is committed to providing defensive driving courses that improve the attitude and skill base of all drivers, no matter what level of experience. With the correct attitude and good defensive techniques, you can avoid potentially hazardous situations. We will teach you to have a better understanding of modern vehicle technology, and be able to react more effectively in an emergency situation.

Induction Training
Driver safety training should be provided as soon as possible to new employees before they are assigned a vehicle and as part of normal induction.
Induction training can provide a sense of importance to the new employee, showing that their safety and understanding of company policies, and procedures is highly valued.
All courses can be tailored to suit the needs of the clients. The length of time required can be decided prior to the courses, or even during the course.
Entry Requirements: All drivers must hold a current car and/or heavy vehicle licence- LR MR, HR HC.MC
Certification: All drivers will receive a driver evaluation report.
